The CMS course is open without any pre-requisites to anyone in the pool/spa industry. The purpose is to provide education on the key components of swimming pool and spa maintenance. The course is 2-1/2 days in length and focuses on basic water chemistry, circulation and filtration, water balancing, pool math, electrical safety and routine and seasonal maintenance. It also covers best practices for safety, customer service and professionalism. The CMS course offers national certification to those who pass the exam at the end of the course. The final exam is 75 multiple choice questions, and both the Service Tech Manual and CMS Workbook may be used as resources during the exam.
